We spent Labor Day Weekend in Creede Colorado, home of Young Life's Wilderness camp. We "helped" close up the camp for winter. And we relaxed, ate good food, and hiked in beautiful country.
Banner is an excellent hiker! She can happily go for several hours. I think she just likes being carried...
Uncompaghre, one of Colorado's 53 14ers (14,000+ foot mountain), can be seen in the background.
Justin, Banner, and Jared atop Snow Mesa, with Baldy Cinco in the background. This was Banner's highest ascent so far, at 12,290 ft. She seemed to handle the altitude well, but didn't like the wind. Here she is settling in for a nap for the way back down.

That's such a cool picture of Jared on top of that rock! It doesn't surprise me that he found his way up there. Banner seems to enjoy eating food- Im not sure how you capture so many good pictures of her- but I love it! Especially that hiking one- she was so smiley! Have fun taking her on many more trips- the updates are so fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a "sport" our granddaughter is--loves a challenge--like her adventurous parents. Remember La Paz, Bolivia is 12,500 feet at the airport. The ski lift, Chacaltaya, was about 17,785 ft! Don't you love how she grabs that bowl? Great pictures. Loved the tea party ones,too. I put the on my I-touch and showed them to friends on the subway today. She is now famous in Korea and in Paris!
